Job Summary
AF1 Racing in Austin Texas is looking for a new mechanic to fill the Senior Technician / Service Manager roll. We are an internationally known Aprilia, Guzzi, Vespa, Piaggio, Norton, Ural and Zero Motorcycles dealership. We are need of the right person to fill a big pair of shoes and expand our service department. We service most makes and models , however our specialty is European motorcycles, and we are continuing to expand into the electric segment. We do not do quads, jet skis, boats or side by side utility machines, mowers or lawn equipment.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualified mechanic candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in the motorcycle industry, specialization in European brands preferred but not required. Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa, Ducati, KTM, BMW and Triumph experience a definite plus. Racing experience a plus. This is not the typical technician or service manager job, we all wear multiple hats here at AF1, and expect the same from any new team members. Management skills AND diagnostic skills are important. High productivity, efficiency, and accuracy are very important. Qualified mechanic candidates will have their own extensive tool collection by this point. AF1 Racing has all required special tools, as well as an extensive collection of unique tools.
If not already certified in the brands mentioned above then we will assist the technician as time allows.
